Bidvertiser Logo

Bidvertiser is an ad network that offers website owners the ability to sell their ad space, automatically, to the highest bidding advertiser and is one of over a hundred such programs we review on experienced-people.co.uk.

Their Bid-Per-Click ad sales model allows advertisers to directly bid against each other for publisher ad space and “buy” it if they are the highest bidders. Bidding prices are mostly affected by the quality and popularity of the publisher websites and winning bidders will pay when visitors click-through ads and again when clicks leads to a conversion, thus employing both CPC and CPA commissions.

Profitability varies wildly from publisher to publisher and depends almost solely on available advertisers and their willingness to bid on publisher ad space. This gives publishers a lot of room for optimization and strategic planning that can potentially multiply their earnings in ways not typically encountered in other ad networks. However, this works both ways and certain publishers report very low income and other problems, including lack of interest from advertisers to buy their ad space, through Bidvertiser as depending on the whims of bidders is not the safest monetization route.

Bidvertiser serves typical text ads in most types of standard ad units including banners, skyscrapers, boxes, buttons and inline ads. Additionally, Bidvertisers allows free design of ads with customized sizes, which is a welcome addition.

Apart from their text ads, Bidvertiser also offers publishers the option to create their own customized toolbars and earn money by promoting and encouraging visitors to install and use it. This innovative monetization tool can be custom-fitted with search boxes, links to popular destinations, custom buttons and menus with publisher-designated content, games and many other widgets.

The network is rather accommodating to new publishers. Most applications are instantly accepted since there are no (visible) minimum requirements and the minimum payout is only $10. Moreover, their website and knowledge base are comprehensive, well-written and surprisingly polite, warmly welcoming new publishers and helping them along the way. Support is above average, with publishers having immediate and prioritized access to Bidvertiser support center. However, the apparent lack of live support might put off certain customers.

Bidvertiser is not just a newbie-friendly ad network with no requirements to join though. They also extend special partnership offers to publishers and networks that generate more than 5 million monthly page views (apply here) and the internal requirements for such partnerships are extremely demanding.

The network has received mixed reviews and comments from publishers around the web. While many reviews praise them for their profitability others complain for the lack thereof! This goes to show that results vary wildly with Bidvertiser ads, since publishers are totally dependent on direct bids from advertisers for most of their income.

All things considered, becoming a Bidvertiser publisher may not be  the safest choice for website monetization (unless you have 5 million views per month and are eligible to become a partner!) However, under certain circumstances profits can increase exponentially, something that does not usually happen with most other networks. This is especially true if determined Bidvertiser advertisers bid against each other for specific publisher ad space.

Since beginner publishers are welcome to join as long as they adhere to Bidvertiser’s publisher guidelines and have nothing to lose, Bidvertiser may be a good choice for new publishers to get their feet wet.
